HighGround Pest Defense was founded by Rex Butler, a U.S. Army veteran who believes in doing things the right way — with discipline, reliability, and attention to detail.

Rex served in the United States Army with the historic 10th Mountain Division, 2-14 Infantry Regiment, and deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2009. During his time in the Army, he learned the importance of preparation, accountability, and protecting the people around him — his values that continue to shape how HighGround Pest Defense serves homeowners today.

After his military service, Rex set out to build a pest control company that operated differently from many large corporate providers. Too often, pest control services felt rushed and impersonal. Rex believed homeowners deserved something better — a company that treats every home with care and delivers dependable protection.

That belief led to the creation of HighGround Pest Defense.
